3 Weeks NO Cheats!

I’m late to the party----but I am ready to begin!!!!  For me, my weaknesses are sweets, ICE CREAM, and regular sodas!  So, for 3 weeks, I am saying NO to all of these!!!

It’s a SALE!

First day back!!!

I was so excited to get back to my babies today!!!! I tried to sit as much as I could today!! The kids were so sweet and they were very careful around my foot! By the way I am down to 20 students! It's so weird!!! It's amazing what a difference 3 more students make! 

My Sippi was very happy to see me when I got home! :) 

Healed!!

Today I got the cast off and into a walking boot. I can take it off when I'm relaxing, to take a NORMAL shower, and to sleep!!!! I am so happy!!!!!

This girl right here gets to be a teacher again Tuesday!!!!!!!!! I am so happy to be able to see my kiddos again!!!!

Update

This is so I can remember!

I have started walking around the house with no assistance. I have started doing some light chores around the house. I am even walking up and down our stairs. 

I'm still elevating as much as possible!

I am having AWFUL cramps in my calf muscle under the cast. No fun!!! 

Tomorrow I am starting back on Plexus Slim. No more Dr Peppers until I get my blood sugar under control!!! Darn PCOS! 

5 more sleeps until I get my cast off! I go back to school January 21st! I'm ready to see my kiddos!

A gradual release....

Well once I had surgery this was my best friend. 

Then Friday I got my walking cast and this became my new BFF. 

After a few days this BFF became annoying. Grandmas were having to wait on me and wished I'd get a little faster.

This BFF is awesome! I can move lots faster!!! If only it would take the pain away....

She gone....

I got my walking cast on Friday. I was too scared to walk Friday!!!!! Lol

Saturday I got a little bit brave. I walked a little with my walker. 

Sunday I walked quite a bit!!! Every day gets a little bit easier!! It hurts a lot but I know it will get easier every day. 

Book #6 Review---Devil's Island

Our friend, Ron Hall, published a book so I decided to read it. I really loved it! It was so suspenceful, right to the very end!!! Give it a try!!! 

You won't be disappointed!!!

Book #5 since surgery.....

A HS classmate of my husband wrote this book. It was hilarious!! She did a great job telling stories of things that happened when she was little. I could relate to many things, especially the sibling stories!! Great read!

Walking....

Today doc put me in a walking cast! 

I am very excited for forward progress. But I really don't like casts. And this is the first time in my whole life I have worn one!! It has only taken me one day to figure that out!!! I can put weight on my foot since I am partial weight bearing. But I haven't yet!!! Lol I am too scared!!!! I am going to attempt to walk upstairs this evening. (With a walker)

2--Get involved in a life group at church.

3--Get healthy/lose weight.

4--Get my foot in working order!! :)

Book review----Sophie Hudson book

I just finished this book and I have to tell you it was awesome!!  The author does a great job telling stories about her family.  She is an excellent Christian author.  It also helps that she is a Missisippi State fan!!  If you read the blog Kelly's Corner, you know that she loves this book too.  That is where I first heard about this book!!  

Do you believe in angels?

I do! Last night we went to our candlelight Christmas Eve service. My husband wheeled me in my wheelchair. 

Back to my story......

On our way out, a young man named Andre came up to me and asked if he could pray for healing of my foot. I of course let him. He touched my leg and asked for God to heal my leg. Andre was my angel last night. I used to watch Touched by an Angel all the time. I truly do believe there are angels among us. Do you?

Another book review!

Since the surgery, I have been reading alot. I just finished The Fault in our Stars by John Green. This book was recommended by my librarian neighbor. 

Let me just say she did dissppoint....again! Any time she has a must read, I read!

This is a book about 2 teens who have cancer. They fall in love. They know their time on earth is limited but they live life to the fullest! 

This is a great book! Read it. You will thank me later! Trust.me!

The big scare!

Well last night as we were leaving to go grocery shopping, the unimaginable happened. My knee walker fell off the ledge in the garage and I instinctively caught myself with my surgery foot. The pain! Oh the pain! I just knew I had messed it up! I didnt know whether to go to the ER or not. I called the doctor on call (not my surgeon) and he said to come to the office in the morning. So today at 8 am I called and they worked me in at 11:15. The doctor seems to think that all is well. He tested the Achilles and it works! I go to my doctor Friday. So I am on my 3rd splint!!!

Update

Thursday: I was able to go to the school and see my sweet babies! I got so many sweet hugs! We were both so happy to see each other. I think they might have been a little sad to see me in a wheelchair though. This trip really wore me out though and I think I caught a stomach virus while there! :(

Friday: Doctor day! Well it didn't turn out as good as I hoped. I was supposed to be put in a walking cast and be partial weight bearing but I had a small part of incision not healed. So, back in the splint for another week! :( non weight bearing

I was in lots of pain after going to the doctor. Plus I still had that stomach virus!

Saturday: lots of Christmas movies! This was one of my favorites I recorded on the Lifetime channel. 

Tonight my sister, BIL, and nephew are back in Texas. They live in the Bahamas.

This man right here has been so awesome! He is taking such great care of me!!!! I love him!
