Foot trouble :(

3 years ago I had achilles surgery. It turned out to be a nigtmare!! I am hoping this time around I have better luck! Same issue, different foot. BETTER doctor!!! Here is the problem...

I have a Haglund deformity (huge bone growth) on my heel which is causing tears in my Achilles. Ouch!!!! I have been living with the pain and I can not anymore! So on December 10th I will have surgery. I have been busy preparing for a sub. My class will be in excellent hands!!! 

This will be my last week until January! I will be busy getting ready this week!!!

Update

Well it has been a crazy few months. The long and short of it is this----I have been really sick. I would have these "episodes" where I would be really sick about 2-3 mornings a week. (Not pregnant)! I had an ultrasound to check for gallstones. Then i had to have a colonoscopy. Worst few days ever!!!! The prep was the worst! Btw, this all started October 19th. 

Yuck!!!!!

Well they never found anything wrong. But I quit taking aleve and my blood sugar meds and have had no trouble since!! 

We decided to decorate for Christmas early since I have foot surgery coming up soon (more on that later).

Now for Thanksgiving we flew to Alabama to spend time with Stephen's family.

Today we traveled over to Starkville! We are enjoying a nice lunch at Little Dooey's!!

Today I turned 37 and Sippi turned 6!! We had a great weekend! We went to my mom and dads house yesterday and my BIL cooked gumbo!

Nonfiction writing and nouns....

We started our nonfiction reports in writing. We did this lesson on the difference between fiction and nonfiction writing. We are researching bears. We are using Pebble Go. I love that resource!!

We started our anchor chart for a great report. We will be adding to it.

Here is our RAN chart. This is my first year doing this and I love it!!

We are also learning nouns!! 

We made a first grade noun town!! The kids love walking by it every day!!

Halloween 2013

This year Sippi was Waldo!! She was not a fan of the glasses or hat !!! She only kept it on for a few pictures!! 

I think she is smiling because the hat and glasses are off!! 

This year we didnt pass out candy, instead we ate it ourselves!!! Lol

Do you watch The Middle? This cracked me up! Brick dressed up as a bookmark!!!! He lives reading so this was very appropriate! 

This Halloween was rough!! The kids were out of control! Lol Worst holiday as a teacher!!

State Fair of Texas!

Last weekend we decided to visit the fair. We went on the last day which was probably not a great idea! Lol!!!

Big Tex is back, bigger and better than ever!!!!

One of our favorite things to do (besides eat) at the fair is the car show. I am in love with this car!!!! Too bad I am about 2 years away from buying a new car!!! I still love my Saturn!!

Besides the Fletchers corny dog and tater twisters, I also had fried pumpkin pie!! To die for!!!!

They were passing out free twinkies too!! I made the hubby pose with mr. Twinky!! Love it!!!

We had a great time but my foot got very tired and there were too many people there. So we left and went home. :)
