a little renovation….

my little ol’ blog just got a little renovation!!  I hope you like it.  I used my creative memories software to make the header and then I just used a background from The Cutest Blog on the Block!

I am home sick today.  Boo!  My team had to split my class so I owe them big time!

November and a Thanksgiving Unit!

November and December are my 2 favorite months of the year!!  I start November off with a bang!  My birthday is today!!  AND, it is also my cockapoo’s birthday.  She is 5 today!

This is her on her birthday last year about to devour her birthday bone! 

Yesterday my sweet co-workers decorated my door for me.

They got me lots of goodies!  Here is my sad balloon!!  It wouldn’t fly.  LOL

They also made me a cake, bought my lunch for me (Jason’s Deli), and got me SPRINKLES cupcakes!!!

Hurricane Sandy….

She sure did cause some major angst for my family this week.  As you may recall, my sister and her family became missionaries in Eleuthera Bahamas this summer.  We were in constant contact with her as this Category 2 hurricane approached them. 

Praise the Lord my sister and her family did just fine!  My sister said it was very scary and there was  a lot of praying going on!  My 3 year old nephew did really good.  He was more annoyed than anything that it was so loud outside!!   They are still without power so now we are praying that power be restored soon so their food (which is very hard to come by) does not spoil.  They do have a generator that they can run but not constantly because it would be far too expensive.  They did lose part of their propane out of the big tank which they use for cooking.  Propane is very very expensive.  The wind actually knocked it over. 

My mom had a dream Thursday night (during the worst of the storm).  She said it was very real and that she pictured their house and angels were completely surrounding it.  The next morning she and my Dad were talking and praising HIM and my dad had a very similar dream.  God is good folks!!!
