a visit....

Even though I am on a medical leave of absence, I couldn't resist it. I went for a visit to the school today. I got to see my friends, as well as my first grade kiddos! They were just as excited seeing me as I was to see them!! It made me miss being there so much more. I hope it's not too much longer before I can come back. Meanwhile....it's report card time! I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend!! :)

Heal, little heel!!!

So, today I started a medical leave of absence. This is the first time in my 9 years of teaching I have ever had to do this. So, I'm freaking out a little bit.......Today I chose to tell my kiddos about it. One of my little toots said, "Mrs. Wright, I sure hope you can walk again someday so you can come back and be our teacher." I had to fight back the tears!!!!

I'm trying out this whole "teacher blog" thing! I'm not saying I'll be very good at it but give me a try! :)

I do have my first funny story!!! Yesterday we were talking about how it doesn't matter if a teacher is watching them or not because there were cameras in the hallway and the principal or even me could watch their behavior at any time. One of my new friends said, (with a look of horror), "Did they have those at my old school????" I said they sure did. He looked very worried!!! LOL I thought that was cute.
