days like this.....

I love days like today.......all day planning w/ my team!! I sure did get a lot done. I plan math for my grade level. I got math plans done for the rest of the year!!! Plus, I did my data analysis for my recent benchmark and my review/reteach calendars. Then, I did my teacher self report for PDAS. I started looking into next week's reading also. Compare/Contrast and synonyms/antonyms seem to be the buzz words for next week. How many of you do Treasures?

They took down my old closet doors and are putting up nicer ones! They should be done in the morning! :)

Open House......Texas Style!

Thursday was our Open House. I was very busy trying to get all this stuff done and hung up; meanwhile, we also had a math benchmark to give 2 days!! Yikes!! But, it all got done and now this week should be smooth sailing. We also have an all day planning day this Thursday and I can't wait! I hope I can get lots done. Our little first grade flower garden...... We're learning our addition facts. We hope this will help them as 2nd graders! Bluebonnets. I thought they turned out cute!

Spring Break 2011

Spring Break was FUN! I really hate to see it coming to an end! But, only 53 more school days until summer!!! Here's how it went down:
Saturday, March 12th--Stephen and I took a stroll down to Nac.....I got my hair done again. We spent time with the family. Saturday evening my BIL (who should cook professionally, he's THAT good) made gumbo! It was delicious.

Sunday, March 13th--woke up, ate a yummy brunch cooked again by my BIL! Said goodbye to the hubby and doggie, then my sister, niece, and I headed off to Galveston Island! We got to G I, checked into our hotel, went out to dinner. We tried to go to Rainforest Cafe only to find out there was a 2 hour wait. No thanks! We ended up at McAlister's Deli. It was equally delicioius. back to the hotel to chill out....

Monday, March 14th--We woke up, went to Rainforest Cafe (no wait this time, we got there at 11) :)....then we headed on over to Moody Gardens. We watched a cool ocean 3D movie, rode the Colonel Paddlewheel boat, went into the aquarium, Discovery Museum......for dinner we ate at Wendy's. I know, real exciting!! Then we went down to the beach. back to hotel to chill out again.....

Tuesday, March 15th--We woke up, went to Casey Gaido's (not as good as Gaido's but the pecan pie is still to die for!); we rode the ferry, went shopping on the strand, had a yummy shake at a soda shop, rode in a horse/carriage, went to dinner at Saltgrass, went back to the beach. You know, it was REALLY cold down there!!! back to hotel to chill out.....

Wednesday, March 16th--Murdochs for some goodies, breakfast at IHOP, headed back to Nac!

Thursday, March 17th--lunch w/ my mom at Posados, got to tour the school that I went to during elementary (my mom still works there), parents brought me half way home where my hubby picked me up and took me home!!

Friday, March 18th--Hubby took off work and we just hung out all day!

Saturday, March 19th: Yard work!! then we went to Frisco to meet my sister, BIL, and nephew--we ate at Babe's, one of my favorite restaurants!! :); went shopping at Christmas Tree Shops (my 2nd favorite store, only behind Target of course)

Sunday, March 20th--the dread begins!! :)


This is how I currently look; not so pretty!! With the help of my lymphedema pump, the swelling is really going down! It still hurts so so bad though. :( I don't think it will ever be the same. I really wish I wouldn't have had surgery.....

New blog design!

I finally figured out (with the help of a friend!) how to design my own header! I really like the look of the new blog!!!

On a different note, I am super glad it is spring break!!!! What are you doing for spring break?

Rocks......

Let's just say I am not very loved tonight by our custodian I am quite sure!!!! I don't know how many of you do FOSS for science, but we do. We are doing Pebbles, Sand, and Silt. Today we did river rocks. We had sand and gravel all over our room!!!! But, the kids had a blast!!!

Random.......

I haven't posted in a while but here is what I'm loving right now.......(on this beautiful, chilly, Sunday!)
Number 1.......my new Shark Vac then Steam mop.....used it yesterday and my house feels so so clean!!

Number 2.......that this time next week I'll be on my way to Galveston Island with my sister and niece!! It's going to be a FUN girls trip!

Number 3: the new (limited edition) Cinnabon coffee creamer....it's so yummmmmmm..........


Number 4: That spring break is officially in 4 days!!!! I.can't.wait!

Number 5: My laundry is D.O.N.E.

Number 6: and this is the biggie. are you ready for this?

AND! Only 103 days until we cruise out of NOLA to Belize, Honduras, and Cozumel!!!!!
