the time is now....

Right as we speak, I am getting on a cruise boat and headed to the Caribbean!!!! I will post pictures when I return. But now, it's time to sit back and relax.....see ya next week!! :)

What I'm Loving Wednesday!!

Here is what I'm loving on this lovely Wednesday!!

• I'm loving my summer vacation!!! I just love June and July! I love being a teacher!!!


• I'm loving that Saturday I will be leaving on a cruise to the Caribbean!


• I'm loving the show The Voice!


• I'm loving my sweet little 3 year old cockapoo named Sippi who snuggled with me this morning!!


• I'm loving that my in laws are coming all the way from Alabama to house sit/puppy sit!!! My Sippi will be in good hands while we're gone.


• I'm loving coffee! :)


• I'm loving my new chaise chair!!


• I'm loving my sweet hubby, as always.

a proposal and a wedding.....

In May, 2001, I met Stephen. It really wasn't that easy. Here's how it happened. My sister had gone on a mission trip for a summer in Michigan (Lansing). She met Stephen. She was working at a children's center that was served by his church. I saw pictures of him and I said, "Who is that?" She told me and said she wanted to set us up. Obviously the timing wasn't right. I was about to student teach. Fast forward 2 years. She emailed him and told him about me. She told him that I was traveling to Ohio to see my cousin, so he agreed to drive 5 hours for that weekend and have our first date in June 2001. I had just finished my first year of teaching. We met and the rest is history!! We hit it off right away. It was really hard because it was a long distance relationship but it was worth it! Fast forward another year......the summer of 2002 I went up to Michigan for the summer. He was going to Mackinac Island for a band concert. (He was in a community band) We went to this lighthouse and he proposed on that porch!!! So sweet...of course I said yes!!!!!

2 years after we met, we were married!! We moved to Alabama. We lived there 2 years but I couldn't find a teaching job. I substituted but I was meant to teach. So, I called my old school, got my old job back, and moved back to TX. Only problem was, it wasn't that easy for Stephen. For a year, I moved back in with my parents and taught. At the end of that first year, he got a job but in Dallas. So the next year since I didn't get a job in Dallas, I stayed at the same school and commuted back and forth from E. TX to Dallas every weekend!!! The next summer, I resigned from my job and went on FAITH! That's what God wanted me to do, put my faith in Him and he rewarded me witha job in Dallas.

So, our first 4 years of marriage haven't been the easiest but the next 4 have been wonderful!!!! We built our first house in 2007 and we are as happy as can be. The only thing that would make it better is if we were blessed with a baby!

I heart summer.....

Well, first of all, the DALLAS MAVERICS are NBA Champions!! How fun!

This is where I might spend part (most) of my summer!!!! This big baby is now sitting in my gameroom!

Wet Lizard in Belize....we'll be here Tuesday!

We're getting on this beauty Saturday in New Orleans!!! I am so excited. This will be our home away from home for 7 days!!!



I plan on getting some much needed relaxation on a beach somewhere!!

What are YOUR plans for summer? I do plan on starting some school work but not until July (mid). I plan on not thinking about school stuff until then. I want to start this next year off with a BANG!

schoooool's out...for...the summer!!

Did you just sing that too? It's an awesome feeling to get a break for a little while. No more papers to grade, lesson plans, behavior plans! LOL I do plan on doing lots of things to get ready for next year this summer though. I am going to try to plan out the reading unit by unit this summer. Since I missed the first part of the school year, I never really got caught up.
