Wonder…
My neighbor is a librarian and she wrote how awesome this book is. I immediately bought the book on Amazon for my Ipad. I was reading something else (Twilight), but once I finished it, I immediately started reading Wonder by R.J. Palacio.
You guys, this is the best book I have ever read. I’m not normally a “can’t put it down” kind of person. My ADD usually kicks in. But this book….I just can’t put it down. I’m almost done and I just started it. It’s about a boy that was born with a face that no one wanted to look at. It is mostly told from his point of view but it switches a couple of times to the point of view of people in his life. Don’t worry, it’s not confusing. It clearly tells you when it is switching POV’s. It surely makes you see people in a different way once you read it. Just do me a favor….READ IT!! You can thank me later!!! It’s a very easy read.

What I’ve Been Working On….
I have been working on a couple of things lately. I completed my magnet mini unit. We study magnets in our physical science unit. The kids really enjoy just exploring but I wanted to have some accountability so I came up with this:
I also wanted an organized, neat looking calendar area this year. So I came up with this calendar set:
I will also put up a big calendar where we add the dates each day, as well as a Hundreds Chart. This is what my calendar area has looked like in the past.

Stingrays…OH MY!!
We had been planning on going to Stingray City in the Caymans for a while. The closer the time came, the more chicken I got!! LOL Once on the boat, I was downright scared!!!! I waited till everyone was off the boat in the water. I finally got the courage to get in the water. This is what I looked like:
I spent all of about 2 minutes in the water. I was DONE when the first stingray swam up to me!!! I hollered and got out of that water speedy quick!!! Luckily, Stephen stayed in the water and got some good pics with the water camera!
